Maxim Maximov
Member of Peter Wagner's ICA (International Coalition of Apostles), Pastor and the director of New Life Bible Center, Founder of CNL (New Life Cannel) Almaty, Kazakhstan.

Maxim Maximov was born in a Christian family in Almaty, Kazakhstan (USSR) during the era of serious religious persecution resulting in the formation of the underground church in the Soviet Union. At that time, their meetings had to be held in different locations each time because of the fear of KGB crackdowns. In the late eighties, during the times of "Perestroika" (Communist reform), his family was granted religious refugee status by the US Ambassador and was given the chance to flee to the United States.

They were thrilled to escape from communism. Two weeks before the time came to board the plane, God gave Maxim (who was twenty at that time), the desire to stay in the USSR, in the area that is now Kazakhstan, and to serve Him. The family home and all their belongings had already been sold, the tickets had been bought, so how could he stay alone? The story became more tragic as he stood in the Moscow Airport waving goodbye to his parents. Their plane took off, leaving him behind forever. In obedience to God's leading, he remained in a country that did not allow freedom for its inhabitants.

Because of his decision to stay, New Life Bible Center was started after communism miraculously collapsed in 1991. In the last thirteen years the church has grown into a Bible Center which is now made up of 100 affiliated churches and many other ministries.

In 1992 Maxim graduated from "Word of Life" Bible School in Uppsala, Sweden.

In 2000 he became a member of Peter Wagner's ICA, and he launched the CNL cable channel.

In 2001 he received the vision to start the first ever Christian satellite TV channel in Russian.

Today Maxim Maximov's ministry includes the following:

- New Life Church in Almaty with a total attendance of 2000. Every Sunday service 40-50 people accept salvation in Jesus
- Central Asian Mission, coordinating the work of 100 affiliated churches in the areas of Kazakhstan and Russia; total attendance of 5500.
- Prison ministry and rehabilitation center for drug addicts
- Kazakh fellowship with 250 regular attenders.
- Uighur fellowship with 100 in attendance
- Worship ministry producing its own CD's
- Ministries for children, teenagers and youth
- Christian theater
- Internet ministry (Christian portal in Russian www.Life4God.com )
- Charity ministry
- CNL TV Channel (24/7)
